The output might include something like 05:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-PCI Card (rev 01)in which case you've got a 1390. if yes ndiswrapper won't always works with it, it is well defined but it get stucked and if you feel the chip u will find it strangely hot. Can anyone please tell me of a file that I could maybe download from this windows pc connected to internet and transfer it to the ubuntu installation and build/run it so check over here

More info... Information on my small laptop Dell 11 3000 Using a Asus 3632QM laptop with 8gig RAM, 250 SSD. The ndiswrapper trick works but it seems, well depricated... The package is called ndisgtk.
